Christened Names and Nicknames
Many names appear in different forms in referring to the same person, and it is difficult sometimes to recall the possible Christened name of a person when all that has been given is a short form. I have compiled the enclosed list of such names for my own use and would like to share it with you and the Society. I believe it will be most useful, particularly in checking indexes and census records, etc. Some are obvious, others not so.
